GENERAL SUMMARY/PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for making safety a #1 priority in the day-to-day work routine for one’s self and others. Responsible for operating machine tools to produce, inspect and assemble fabricated metal parts.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal parts. 2. Review blueprints or specifications for a job and check the accuracy of work. 3. Measure and duplicate parts that do not have blueprints. 4. Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations. 5. Select tools and materials for the job. 6. Use manual and computer controlled machinery. 7. Setup, monitor, and control speed and feed rates. 8. Prepares and maintains records and reports. 9. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. 10. Other duties as assigned based on business need.
JOB CRITERIA MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Educational and experience requirements include; Two years experience. Must have knowledge of conventional equipment. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques. Familiar with mechanical design and fabrication. Pay is depending on experience!
Monday- Friday
6am-2:30pm overtime available!!
