Quality Technician

Ennis, TX
The Quality Technician are responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. 
Quality technicians are involved in the entire course of manufacturing. They may inspect components before assembly, analyze trial products during development, or test finished goods. During these processes, they record and analyze the results in order to decide whether to certify or reject specific products. Some technicians use this data to solve production issues and recommend improvements. Other duties may include preparing inspection plans, training new technicians, and evaluating quality cost.
The Quality Technician will perform routine functions in one, or more, of the following areas: Welding, Clifford, Upgrade, Powder Coating, SAW, Hardware, Receiving and/or Shipping.
Essential Duties:
  • Perform all assigned duties with maximum efficiency while adhering to all site SAFETY Rules.
  • The Quality technician will inspect raw materials and finished products, such as steel tubing and wire, fence panels, and gates, to ensure the product meets, or exceeds the specification.
  • Perform Quality testing on PCL and Clifford as well as daily checks in various other departments as per given schedule at all the time.
  • Enter the data in computer on daily basis. Maintain all relevant documentation regarding tests & inspection processes.
  • Download pictures and save compile all the documentation for
  • Assist in resolving Quality Issue.
  • Walking in confined space areas of the Plant. Handling of Chemicals used on Powder Coat Line.
  • Perform all assigned duties while maintaining, or surpassing, defined quality expectations
  • Display & show visual results of – results regarding compliance & non compliance of inspection analysis.
  • Maintains clean work area as defined by plant housekeeping standards
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish)- MUST BE ABLE TO READ, WRITE, AND SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer for data entry work. Mainly Word, Excel.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, and move around the facility for up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to lift and/or move between 30 to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is often loud, dusty, and experiences extreme temperatures. (Cold & Hot)
  • Ability to be at work everyday, on-time as scheduled and complete the entire scheduled shift
  • 90% of time will be spent on production floor & 10% on office.
  • Knowledge on SAP is a Plus.


Education/Experience:
 
  • High School Diploma, or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years experience is required in Quality testing in heavy industrial manufacturing. Powder Coat line experience is a Plus.
